Boyd Maritime is a Technical Marine Consultancy firm, set up by myself after 36 years of experience in the marine industry.
Services offered by Boyd Maritime are essentially an extension of the type of work carried out during my 27 years at two major marine consultancies, and as a Class surveyor before then.
Boyd Maritime's mode operandi typically follows one of two approaches:
- Working alone - this applies to on-site work that is within my discipline and experience, and likewise to investigations and analyses that match my skills and knowledge.
- Working with Sub-contracted naval architects (subject to client approval) - this is warranted where specialist skills are called for, or when naval architecture software is required. In such cases, Boyd Maritime remains the case-handler, managing the sub-contracted tasks and covering the reporting.
